Drop-in Flu Clinic 2020

Drop-in Flu Clinics will be held on Saturday 12th September at the Elliott Chappell Health Centre as follows:-

09:00 to 12:00 and 12:30 to 15:30

What to expect on the day:

  1. Patients will be asked to queue at the front door of the Health Centre (on Hessle Road) in socially distanced pairs – ie two patients or a patient and relative or carer
  2. A member of staff will remind you to wear a face mask or covering and invite you in to the Heath Centre when capacity allows. You should remain in your pair and remain socially distanced at all times
  3. A member of staff will book the patient or patients in at our Reception Desk
  4. Once booked in you will be asked to proceed to a desk at the top of St Andrews corridor where a member of staff will ask you to roll up your sleeve in preparation for your injection
  5. When indicated you will proceed down the corridor to the consulting room door where a clinician will ask your name, obtain your consent and then administer the vaccine
  6. Once the vaccine has been administered you will continue down the corridor and exit the building via the fire exit and in to the car park at the rear of the building

If you have any questions regarding the 2020 Flu Campaign, please call the surgery on 01482 336810.

Please do not attend the surgery if you or any one in your household has had any symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste) in the last 14 days

Please note that patients aged between 50-64 years old, who are not in an At Risk category, will not be vaccinated until November and December 2020 and only providing there is sufficient vaccine available. This is to ensure that the most vulnerable groups are vaccinated first. Please note that appointments will not be offered to this group of patients at this stage. Please do not contact the surgery if you are in this group of patients
