We are pleased to note that the CQC highlighted a number of areas which were rated as Good namely; 'Are services effective', 'Are services caring, and 'Are services responsive to people's needs'.
In addition the care of the six key population groups; Older people, People with long term conditions, Families, children and young people, Working age people, People whose circumstances may make them vulnerable and People experiencing poor metal health were all rated as Good. We thank our Clinical and Administrative teams who have done a tremendous job in achieving this since April 2016 when St Andrews Surgery was formed.
In respect of those areas which were found to be 'Requires Improvement' namely; 'Are services safe' and 'Are services well-led' we have already started looking at these areas and a detailed Improvement Plan has been drawn up and submitted to the CQC. St Andrews Surgery has gone through a considerable amount of change over the last 15 months which has included the establishment of a new management team and the recruitment of a number of new staff. We are fully aware that these changes may have impacted on the report in these areas and we thank the Staff and Patients who have supported us during this difficult period.
We intend to complete the Improvement Plan by the final quarter of 2017 when we will ask to the CQC to re-inspect us. At that stage we fully expect that an overall Good rating will be achieved.
